Mr. Gerald Tan

Gerald Tan was born in a family that has been in the rubber business for 4 generations and brings with him strong industry knowledge and expertise across the value chain including plantation, processing, physical sales, foreign exchange and futures trading. Gerald also has entrepreneurial experiences including start-up consulting, real estate and portfolio investment. Gerald graduated with a Bachelors of Business Management (Magna Cum Laude) from Singapore Management University in Finance and Marketing. As the 4th generation, he has used technology to transform the factory production process, understands the importance of data analytics and the intricacies of how rubber is traded. Building on his experience, he has led HeveaConnect to develop tools to acquire data within the natural rubber supply chain to prove sustainability. It is HeveaConnect's vision to leverage technology to improve efficiency, reduce pain points, improve livelihoods and practices of smallholder farmers.
